Why does IHAS not have a forum? As of right now, IHAS has chosen to use a Discord server as our forum as we don't currently have enough staff to upkeep a forum or the demand to make this a nescesity.
-
How can I join the IHAS Discord server? You can join our Discord server as a guest here: https://discord.gg/jKsKFYcmUk Once you apply to become a member of IHAS, one of our staff will send you an email with a link to a form we need to screen new applicants. Upon completing this form, you will be given the status of "pilot" in the server which will allow you access to event channels and other important information.
-
Do I have to use Discord?Yes! Up until recently, this has been an optional but reccommended part of the IHAS experience. Now, we have moved entirely onto Discord and it is a requirement to join the sever to participate. It is a place where you are able to communicate and coordinate with staff and other pilots during our events. Our events almost always revolve around teamwork and Discord has been the easiest way for this to happen so far. Our Discord server is also the easiest way to stay up-to-date with any changes/announcements within the VA. You can join the discord server here: https://discord.gg/jKsKFYcmUk

How long will it be before my application is accepted? Our staff do have other lives outside of this virtual airline so please allow up to 24 hours for the applicnt screening form to be sent to you, and a further 24 hours for the form to be verified.
-
Do all my flights have to be on VATSIM?Yes. As we currently track all our flights through VATSIM, we require all flights to be flown on VATSIM and be compliant with all VATSIM rules and regulations.
-
Can I fly at 4x speed? No. Speeding up your sim time is prohibited in IHAS. However, depending on the event, you may be allowed to fly supersonic aircraft such, as the concorde, to help speed up your flight.
-
How often do I have to fly?We require a new pilot to fly at least once in their first 14 days. After that, you will be required to fly at least 2 flights every 60 days minimum. If a pilot is unable to meet this requirnment, he/she may request to take a LOA (Leave of Abscence). LOAs will be made available AFTER completing your first flight.
